A Pulrose man has been given a two-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, after admitting drug-driving.
Anthony Michael Oates, 30, of Alder Road appeared before Jayne Hughes, the deputy high bailiff.
Oates admitted being 'drunk in charge of a car by reason of drugs' on August 18 last year.
Evidence showed police spotted Oates in a plantation car park at Braaid, at around 9.30pm.
Officers found his car was full of smoke and he was slumped over the steering wheel with the key in the ignition.
Inside the vehicle, police found heroin and cannabis and Oates admitted he had gone to the plantation to smoke the drugs before going to work the next day.
His advocate urged leniency, saying Oates hadn't been in trouble for nine years and had no intention of driving.
Mrs Hughes imposed a 60-day prison term, suspended for two years, a two-year supervision order, and banned Oates from driving for a year.
