Animator on Chico and Rita contribution

One of the Manx artists who worked on Chico and Rita says news of its Oscar nomination was great, but also a bit of a shock.

The film is in the running for Best Animated Feature Film at next month's Academy Awards, where it's up against A Cat in Paris, Kung Fu Panda 2, Puss in Boots and Rango.

Juan Moore says it's about two years since the team of ten animators from the Isle of Man finished their contribution to the film, and he had put it out of his mind to some extent.

He explained the role they had in Chico and Rita's creation:
