Government accused over meat plant

Middle MHK Howard Quayle says government money is essential to help the Isle of Man's ailing meat plant.

Yesterday (Tuesday) in the House of Keys, Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne admitted the plant would never be able to run as a successful commercial operation.

In the House, he faced questions from Mr Quayle about the future of the facility and the prices paid to farmers for their livestock.

Mr Quayle is accusing the government of failing to live up to its promises to subsidise the plant:
