Wedding licence granted for The Claremont Hotel

by isleofman.com 26th January 2012

THE Claremont Hotel has been granted a wedding licence meaning couples can now get married within the venue.

The hotel is the third in the Island to be granted a wedding licence joining the Best Western Palace Hotel and The Sefton Hotel.

Around two million pounds has been invested into the hotel as part of a regeneration scheme to update the bedrooms, reception and lounge areas.

Mark Wilson, the managing director of Sleepwell Hotels, said: "Whilst our refurbishment is initially for the purpose of updating our architecture we recognise that times are changing – both in the physical and mental sense.

"We originally planned to redesign our hotel as a way of helping guests feel closer to the technology and facilities they were used to at home but upon hearing the news regarding the reformed civil marriage laws we felt that our venue would provide the perfect setting.

"Naturally we also co-ordinate many wedding receptions and now that we have been granted the authority to host wedding ceremonies we hope couples will look to The Claremont Hotel for all their wedding needs - incorporating the ceremony, reception and of course the luxury bridal suite."
