A MAN from Andreas has died from injuries sustained in a house fire on Monday (January 23).

Two fire appliances from Ramsey and one from Kirk Michael attended the property in Larivane Meadows shortly after 9.33am following a report of a bedroom fire.

On arrival fire fighters found the fire had already been extinguished by the other occupant living in the house.

Both occupants were taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment for the injuries they had sustained during the incident but the man, who has not been named, later passed away.

Fire crews spent three hours at the scene in order to help assist police with their ongoing enquiries into the cause of the fire.
