'Back-handed' publication of members' interests

The man behind a local parliamentary website believes an online forum member who is publishing the register of Tynwald members' interests is going about it the wrong way.

Eddie Power runs mhkstheyworkforyou, a website dedicated to following and documenting the activities of politicians in the Isle of Man.

The register can be viewed and copied at the Tynwald offices, but a while ago it was decided against making it available online.

However, the material is now appearing on ManxForums.

Mr Power sees it as a 'back-handed' approach (listen to audio file below):
