Woman receives hospital treatment following dog attack

POLICE are appealing for the owner of a dog which attacked a woman in Douglas to come forward.

 

The attack happened near to the Salvation Army Citadel on Lord Street shortly before 3pm yesterday (Monday).

 

The dog, which is described as being a Jack Russell or similar, was on a lead and was with its owner at the time of the incident.

 

Following the attack the woman received treatment at Noble's Hospital.

 

Police have asked the owner of the dog, who is believed to have spoken to the woman at the time, to contact PC Glen Corlett at Lord Street Police Station on 01624 631212.
