by isleofman.com 24th January 2012

THE Sefton Express hotel has revealed it has taken almost 20,000 bookings since it opened its doors five years ago.

The 34 bedroom hotel which is located opposite Ronaldsway Airport opened in January 2007.

Hotel manager David Hill said: "The Sefton Express has proved to be a popular venue over the last five years and we're delighted with how it has continued to perform.

"We have a fantastic mix of clients through the doors from regular business travellers to movie film crews.

"We're confident the Sefton Express can look forward to another successful five years and beyond."

Airport director Ann Reynolds added: "The Sefton Express has proved to be a great asset to the airport. It provides excellent flexibility for travellers such as those who arrive late in the evening having made an unexpected trip to the Island or those who want to be right next to the airport for an early morning flight."

Geoff Corkish MHK, political member for the Department of Economic Development with responsibility for tourism, said: "We congratulate the Sefton Express in providing this valued addition to our Island's range of hotel accommodation. It remains a super initiative which has proved so popular with our visitors and local residents."
