Traditional ceilidh in aid of Manx Wildlife Trust

by isleofman.com 24th January 2012

THE Manx Wildlife Trust is holding a traditional ceilidh to raise money for its conservation work in the Isle of Man.

The event will be held at Castletown Civic Hall on Saturday, March 10, at 7.15pm.

The Calor Gas Ceilidh Band will provide the music for the evening and guests will be treated to a beef hotpot supper. Guests can bring their own alcohol and soft drinks will be available to buy.

A spokesperson for the Manx Wildlife Trust said: "Even on our beautiful Island much of our wildlife is under threat and struggling to survive.

"The Manx Wildlife Trust is working hard to protect rare animals and plants such as corncrakes and orchids to save places where wildlife is especially threatened and to restore natural beauty to derelict land.

"So do join in the fun at the Castletown Civic Hall and help raise funds to allow the Manx Wildlife Trust to continue to protect Manx wildlife for the future."

Tickets for the event cost £12.50 and are available from the Manx Wildlife Trust shop in Peel which is located on Market Place. For more information telephone 01624 844432.
