Emergency road closure in Onchan following gas escape

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2012

AN emergency road closure has been enforced in Onchan due to a gas escape.

Blackberry Lane from Summer Hill is closed while engineers carry out repair work.

Motorists will still be able to drive down Blackberry Lane from Governor's Road.

However this is subject to change once engineers are able to assess the extent of repair work needed.

It is hoped that the repair work will take no longer than three days to complete.

Manx Gas has apologised for any inconvenience caused to the public and has said it will "strive to complete the work as soon as possible".
