Governor concern not personal

by isleofman.com 21st January 2012

A union boss says his call for a review of the Lieutenant Governor’s salary wasn’t personally directed at him.

Adam Wood receives an annual salary of ?90,000 along with a tax-free allowance of two and a half thousand pounds.

Steve Salter of Unite insists his concern was prompted by cost-cutting which is proposed for staff at government house.

He says the union has to protect them from unpalatable cuts in their income.
