St Mary’s staged a fine second half comeback to move up to second in the Canada Life Premier League on Saturday.

Peter Langridge’s side fought back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Blackberry Lane and end Old Boys’ faint title hopes.

Goals from Martin Reilly (two), Marc Priestnal and Connor Gorman sealed a fine fightback.

Old Boys had led 2-0 through early goals from Callum Stewart and Liam Buckley.

There was a brief shock at Andreas as bottom club Ayre United took a surprise lead against leaders St George’s.

James Teare fired the Tangerines in front before the reigning champions hit back to triumph 10-1.

Ramsey Youth Centre were celebrating after fighting back to draw 3-3 in the northern derby with Ramsey.

First half goals from Chris Halsall and Matthew Montgomery had put Ramsey in the ascendancy at Ballacloan.

However, second half goals from Daniel Tate and two from Jamie Brew earned Youth Centre a welcome point.
