Oldest employee says goodbye to DEC

Cronk-y-Berry Primary School has said goodbye to a long serving and much loved member of staff.

Lunchtime ancillary Liz Walker has retired after 14 years in the post, having started there when the school opened in 1998.

At 73, she is the oldest person employed by the Department of Education and Children.

At lunchtime today (Friday) a party was held, attended by canteen colleagues past and present, other staff and pupils.

Mrs Walker told Ed Oldham she is going to miss the place:
