Two men jailed last year for their part in a burglary, during which a pregnant woman was threatened with a knife, have had appeals against their jail terms dismissed.
Donovan Bradley Kitching and Ben Edward Clark were sentenced to six-and-a-quarter and seven-and-a-half years respectively in September, after eventually pleading guilty to aggravated burglary.
Neither made any admissions to the police when interviewed or pleaded guilty at the first opportunity, and details released along with appeal judge Tattersall's decision also show both had very long and extensive criminal records.
Kitching and Clark, along with another man, Nathan Isaac Miller Holliday, broke into a flat, in Clifton Terrace, Douglas in March 2010 and stole DVDs and computer games.
All three were armed with knives when they burgled the property, threatening resident Kimberley Collister, who was aged 20 and 25 weeks pregnant at the time.
At one point Kitching swung his knife at her, across her stomach, but it hit a laptop she was holding instead of hitting her.
Dismissing the appeals, Mr Tattersall said given the pair's criminal records, and the seriousness of the offences committed in March 2010, the sentences imposed by Deemster Turner were entirely justified and were not manifestly excessive.
