Water supplies restored to most homes

by isleofman.com 20th January 2012

Most homes and businesses in lower Douglas have had their water supplies restored.

A burst trunk main just above Well Road Hill - near Finch Road – had caused the problem since before 9am this morning (Friday).

Water Authority engineers have restored water to most properties.

If you have discoloured water, the advice is run your cold kitchen tap slowly until the water runs clear.

In some cases it could take up to half an hour before that happens.

The Authority’s customer services department can be contacted on 695949.
