A marketing expert from the Isle of Man has written to the Financial Times to set the record straight about offshore finance centres.
Professor Hugh Davidson says he wrote his letter, which appeared yesterday (Thursday), after Labour leader Ed Miliband suggested the United Kingdom economy was losing out because of so called tax havens.
Professor Davidson says the criticism is unfair, and research by accountants Deloitte for the Foot Report, commissioned by the last Labour government in the UK, contradicts Mr Miliband's views.
