Local man putting Island on the map for adventure seeking tourists

by isleofman.com 18th January 2012

A LOCAL businessman has been promoting the Isle of Man to tourists interested in adventurous experiences.

Keirron Tastagh, who runs the outdoor activity company Adventurous Experiences, exhibited at The Outdoors Show in London last week.

The exhibition is the UK's number one show for outdoor pursuits and Keirron was there to tempt adventure seeking tourists to the Isle of Man.

As well as promoting the Island itself Keirron was able to drum up support for two events that Adventurous Experiences run - the Adventure Race which will take place in June and the Sea Kayak Symposium which will take place in September

Later this month, on January 28 and 29, Keirron will attend The Adventure Show which takes place at Olympia in London.

Both visits have been supported by the Department of Economic Development and the Steam Packet Company.

Keirron explained: "It's important that we attend these shows and talk directly to those interested in taking part in adventure activities as it also gives us the opportunity to show exactly what the Island has to offer.

"We're extremely grateful to the Steam Packet Company for its assistance with our travel arrangements and also for helping to bring some of the world's best coaches to the Island during our events."

Mark Woodward, the chief executive of the Steam Packet Company, said: "Both of these events are growing in popularity and the Steam Packet Company is pleased to be involved in their promotion and also by providing great value package deals to those taking part through Steam Packet Holidays."
