POLICE are appealing for information after a spare tyre and wheel were stolen from a garden in Peveril Avenue in Peel.

The incident happened between 7.30am on Tuesday, January 3, and 11am on Thursday, January 5, but details of it have only been made public today (Wednesday).

The wheel is the standard spare off a Renault van and the tyre is large and branded with the word "Wanli".

Police say the wheel had been left behind a wall in the garden so was not visible from the footpath or the road.
