FMA chairman faces 'challenging task'

An interim chief executive officer has been appointed to the Isle of Man Fatstock Marketing Association, to help with the recovery plan.

John Dawkins is taking over the role following what's been described as 'the most difficult trading year in the long and chequered history of the key processing facility'.

Chairman of Isle of Man Meat Graham Crowe says Mr Dawkins has a wealth of experience in the red meat sector, and hopes he will provide experience which may be lacking within the current management team.

Mr Dawkins, who has been appointed from off the Island, will serve an initial three-month contract, which may be extended to six months.
