Benefits warning ahead of Manx budget

The chief minister is vowing to clamp down on people who abuse the benefit system.

As he prepares for next month's Manx budget, Allan Bell insists there is no bottomless pit and universal benefits must be looked at.

Departmental budgets have been slashed following the huge drops in the Isle of Man's share of VAT receipts over the last couple of years.

Mr Bell says there won't be a 'slash and burn' approach, but he wants to look at all areas:
