POLICE have issued an appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision on the Curragh Road in St John’s this afternoon (Saturday).

The collision involved a black coloured Ford Focus car and a turquoise and silver coloured Kawasaki ZZR 600 motorcycle.

The Focus vehicle had been driving on the Kennaa Road and the motorcycle had been travelling towards The Hope prior to the collision taking place.

As a result of the collision the rider of the Kawasaki motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was taken to Noble’s Hospital for treatment. The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.
