Honour for Folk Dance Society

The Manx Folk Dance Society has won an award that recognises its contribution to Manx culture.

The Reih Bleeaney Vanannan 2012 asked for nominations from the public and the panel decided the society was most deserving of the honour.

It celebrated its 60th anniversary last year and the group came together at the Nunnery chapel to receive the trophy.

Chairman Joan Cowell told Manx Radio what it means for them:
