HOSPICE Isle of Man has received a welcome boost of £1,350 thanks to a marathon runner.

Roy Crellin ran the Liverpool Marathon in October in memory of his friend and Isle of Man Transport colleague Robbie Oates who died in May.

The marathon, which was Roy's third marathon in 12 months, helped Roy raise £950 which the Oates family added £900 to.

Roy ran the Liverpool marathon in a time of four hours, 25 minutes and five seconds.
