An inquest into the death of a Castletown man has heard how he died in a crash at Fairy Bridge last week.

The hearing was opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse this morning by coroner of inquests Jayne Hughes.

The court was told 46-year-old Barrie Sumner was killed after he was thrown from his motorbike into a ditch at Sunny Orchard at around 6.15am last Tuesday.
