Island student co-designs disaster app

A Manx student has created a smartphone application to help people find their loved ones in the aftermath of natural disasters.

Peter Sutton, 21, came up with the app, called 'Reunite', with his University of Manchester colleague Lloyd Henning.

The system is designed to collect information to bring families back together in chaotic situations, such as earthquakes, tornadoes and tsunamis.

Peter, who studies computer science, told Manx Radio what the software can do:
