Wheel hubs stolen from car in Douglas

by isleofman.com 9th January 2012

TWO locking wheel hubs have been stolen from a car parked in Douglas.

The hubs were taken from a Nissan Navara which was parked on Taubmann Terrace on Head Road between 9am and 3pm on Thursday, January 5.

Police say they are special devices used to manually disconnect the wheels from the half shafts and, as such, it is believed they have been stolen purposely to be put onto another vehicle.

Anyone who knows of a Nissan Navara which has had problems with its locking hubs or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing hubs is asked to contact PC Lissa Barklie at Police Headquarters on 01624 631212.
