Malarkey harassment case continues

by isleofman.com 9th January 2012

The case of a Douglas man accused of harassing one of his MHKs resumes at Douglas Courthouse this afternoon (Monday).

Jonathan Fletcher, of Saddlestone, was charged last summer after ignoring a warning from police not to contact South Douglas member Bill Malarkey.

Mr Fletcher, who denies the charge, had grievances with the departments of home affairs and social care, of which Mr Malarkey was a political member.

Mr Malarkey, an MHK until three months ago, received numerous emails and eventually contacted police, because of concerns for his family's safety.
