Postponements expected in cup football

After several weeks of wet and windy weather, several pitches face inspections ahead of fixtures in the preliminary round of the Manx FA Cup tomorrow (Saturday).

Farmers have recently reported how difficult it is to work in such wet conditions, and it seems groundsmen are having similar problems preparing playing surfaces.

Manx Radio's football correspondent Tony Mepham believes many games could be called off:
