A Manx-registered vessel impounded by Finnish authorities before Christmas has been given permission to leave Scandinavia.
The Thor Liberty was transporting 69 Patriot missiles and 160 tons of explosives to South Korea when it was detained at the southern port of Kotka.
The Finnish government has now granted a transit permit for the cargo, but the vessel has remained in port due to the travel ban imposed on its captain and first officer, and the removal of its cargo.
The Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration has until the end of August to ship the missiles from Finland.
