Coastguards recover dog from gully

by isleofman.com 5th January 2012

A German Shepherd dog has been rescued by Douglas Coastguard after it fell over the cliff at Groudle.

The dog was apparently chasing a rabbit when it went over, and became wedged in a gully late yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.

Two coastguard officers climbed down and recovered the animal, battling atrocious weather in the process.

But the operation went well, and the pet was reunited with its owner, unharmed.
