Cav spells out targets for the year

Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish says his aims for 2012 are to retain the Green Jersey at the Tour de France and win gold at the London Olympics.

He was officially announced as a Team Sky rider at the outfit's season launch in London yesterday (Wednesday).

Also on the racing roster are fellow Manx rider Peter Kennaugh and Isle of Man resident Ben Swift.

Cav believes his twin targets are realistic, even though there are only six days between the end of Le Tour and the Olympics:
