Retro night for eGaming community

by isleofman.com 5th January 2012

MEMBERS of the eGaming community have been invited to go "retro" at the next social eClub event.

The eClub is a networking society for people who live in the Island and who work in, or who are interested in, the eGaming sector.

It was started by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies to bring together the growing number of people working in this area.

The next meeting, which is being sponsored by Equiom, will be on Thursday, January 19, at The Courthouse in Douglas.

The party, which will start at 6pm, will have a retro theme with 70s and 80s music, classic sweets and retro games.

It will also provide an opportunity to discuss the ICE Totally Gaming conference which is being held in London from January 24 to 26.

Caroline Ashley, assistant marketing manager at Equiom, said: "The eClub provides those in the eGaming industry, as well as those with an interest in eGaming, the opportunity to network with key operators in the industry and Equiom is glad to be a part of it.

"We decided on the retro theme as this follows the theme of our advertising campaign which features retro gaming machines.

"We hope to see both new and returning faces there for the first big party of the New Year."
