'Bigger is better' as charities combine

Two Isle of Man charities which are starting 2012 as a combined force, with a new name, say 'every challenge provides an opportunity'.

Crossroads Caring for Carers and the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled are now one body, known as Crossroads Care.

Former chairman of the Manx Foundation David Cooke says the move was a natural evolution for the organisations.

He says it has been driven by the current economic climate, but in this case bigger really is better:
