Director sings praises of new buses

A dozen silver Mercedes buses, brought to the Isle of Man last year to bolster services, have more than proved their worth.

So says director of transport Ian Longworth as he prepares to 'tweak' aspects of the network, from the start of next week.

Services between Douglas and Noble's Hospital will be pegged back, after a disappointing take-up when frequency was increased, but there will be more services to the south.

Mr Longworth says the new silver buses have been a good buy (listen to audio file below):
