More charity success for Douglas store

by isleofman.com 3rd January 2012

A clothes store in Douglas is celebrating after becoming the top fundraiser in its chain for the second year running.

M&Co has donated nearly ?10,000 to Cancer Research UK, beating 380 stores nationwide in places like Bristol, Cardiff and Glasgow.

And staff at the store have raised nearly the same amount for Manx charities, with the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association, Dreamcatcher and the Rob Vine Fund among those to benefit from a share of more than ?8,000.

Manager Nuala Perren says it's all down to the generosity of the Manx public and is thanking everyone who supported the various charity events during 2011.

She says the company is keen to hear from any other organisations which need financial assistance.
