Gales on Tuesday could cancel sailings

by isleofman.com 2nd January 2012

The Steam Packet is warning Tuesday's services could be disrupted or cancelled by winds which could reach severe gale force nine by lunchtime.

With conditions expected to deteriorate during the night, the 2.15am departure from Heysham has been brought forward half an hour to 1.45, with the Ben-my-Chree due in Douglas at around quarter to six.

Thereafter, nothing will be decided until 7am, when the Packet will give an update on the 8.45am service from Douglas to Heysham, and the return sailing at 2.15pm.

Tuesday's 7.45pm sailing to Heysham is also subject to disruption or cancellation, and a decision on that will be given at 5pm.
