Christmas tree recycling scheme

by isleofman.com 2nd January 2012

With Christmas behind us, Douglas Borough Council is offering people the chance to get rid of their festive trees with a recycling scheme.

The local authority will dispose of trees for free on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8 through a number of drop-off sites around the capital.

Trees can be left at the Grandstand Car Park, Governor's Hill, Snaefell Road in Willaston, Stevenson's Way in Farmhill, Anagh Coar car park, Pulrose, Central Promenade and Lord Street Car Park.

They will be turned into chippings for use in the town's parks and Summerhill Glen.
