by isleofman.com 27th December 2011

Sentence on a 42-year-old woman who admitted possessing heroin has been adjourned until February.

Roma Elaine Kelly, of Willaston Crescent in Douglas, admitted having two wraps of the Class A drug.

The court heard she was detained outside her home by police on December 18.

When officers told her to open her clenched hand, two packages of heroin fell to ground.

Kelly said she had just bought the drugs for ?50 and was a regular heroin user.

Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes granted bail until February 3, so reports can be prepared.
