Bad weather on Christmas Day

by isleofman.com 22nd December 2011

ANYONE dreaming of a white Christmas is likely to be left very disappointed this year.

The five day forecast issued by Ronaldsway Met Office predicts there will be strong to gale force winds on Christmas Day with "splash over of rough sea" in places.

The winds could be 30 to 35mph, occasionally 40 in places, with gusts of 50mph.

Visibility is predicted to be moderate or good, perhaps becoming poor at times and there will be outbreaks of rain and hill fog.

The forecast for Boxing Day (Monday) is virtually identical.
