The Isle of Man has got used to being attacked in the United Kingdom media and wrongly labelled a 'tax haven', since the economic downturn led Britain to look more closely at its revenues.
But it seems HM Revenue and Customs, hasn't been particularly dogged in its pursuit of certain UK-based firms.
A report published by the UK government's Public Accounts Committee says there have been, 'Specific and systemic failures in Britain's tax-gathering agency'.
HMRC's relationships with companies such as Goldman Sachs and Vodafone are highlighted in the report as being too cosy.
