The congregation at a parish church are in distress, after shrubs were stolen from their recently refurbished garden of remembrance.
The thefts occurred at St Peter's in Onchan, where memorials to the fallen in both world wars were restored, and extensive re-turfing and planting took place, in time for Remembrance Sunday last month.
The latest setback for parishioners follows a number of similar incidents, in which plants and flowers have been stolen, in the past few years.
Church warden Nigel Cretney says it's deeply upsetting, but he and his fellow church-goers aren't looking for retribution:
