MHK sets up patients' association

Liberal Vannin MHK Kate Beecroft is hoping a new group will help and support people receiving medical treatment in the Isle of Man.

Mrs Beecroft (South Douglas) is establishing a Manx patients' association, after looking at the work carried out by similar groups in the United Kingdom.

Although she is setting the organisation up, it will be run by the members themselves, namely patients and concerned members of the public.

Mrs Beecroft says it will be for all patients, not just those in hospital:
