by isleofman.com 20th December 2011

Over 100 men and women in bright red costumes ran through the centre of Douglas this afternoon (Tuesday) in the annual Santa Dash.

Kevin Loundes was first home, in a new record time of four minutes and 20 seconds.

His teammate and winner of the two previous races, Ryan Fairclough, was second.

Moments after he ran through the tinsel at the finish line, Kevin told Alex Wotton how it felt to win:

The money raised by Kevin Loundes will go to the Isle of Man's Motor Neurone Disease charity.

His winning time was eight seconds faster than the previous record, set in 2007 by John Halligan.

Isle of Man Bank put up well over ?4,000 in prize money for the annual charity event.
