Nomads reach Cheshire Plate final

by isleofman.com 18th December 2011

PDMS Southern Nomads became the first Manx side to make the final of a Cheshire Competition when they beat League side Parkonians 19-5.

Nomads number eight Rob Keelan was the star of the show with a role in everything positive Nomads did.

Parkonians led after a try from prop Peter Hillan.

Nomads hit back just before half-time with a Steve McHugh try which was converted by Duncan Miller to give them a 7-5 interval lead.

In the second half, Keelan put Nomads further ahead and a late try from wing Glenn Buckley put the result beyond any doubt.
