Manannan on duty 24-7 for busy weekend of Christmas sailings

by isleofman.com 17th December 2011

ALL ferry sailings are scheduled to run on time today as the Manannan takes over 100% of the services for the Steam Packet Company whilst the Ben my Chree goes into dry dock.

A statement issued by the company this morning (Saturday) at 7.09am said that all sailings were expected to depart and arrive on schedule for one of the busiest winter weekends of the year.

With no serious storms forecast, the Steam Packet is keeping fingers crossed after a number of weeks of major disruption.

The Ben-my-Chree is in dry dock this weekend, undergoing long-awaited repairs to her damaged bow thruster.

The ship sailed last night to Cammell Laird in Birkenhead for the repairs to be carried out over the weekend and it's hoped the Ben-my-Chree will return to service on Monday.

Manannan's schedule for today (Saturday) is:-

Douglas to Heysham   Departure: 08:45        Expected arrival: 10:45

Heysham to Douglas   Departure: 14:15        Expected arrival: 16:15

Douglas to Dublin       Departure: 18:30        Expected arrival: 21:25

Dublin to Douglas       Departure: 22:30        Expected arrival: 01:25

Sailing information is updated regularly and available on 645745.
