Coroner to hear more about TT road death

An inquest reopens today (Friday) into the death of a former TT competitor who died in an accident during this year's festival.

Anthony James Cook, 75, of Sulby died in a crash at Claddaghs Road, Sulby at the start of June.

A retired motor engineer, Mr Cook competed in the racing in the early 1960s and won a silver replica for coming fourth in the 1960 sidecar race.

The hearing, before Coroner of Inquests John Needham, will reconvene at Douglas Courthouse at 10am.
