Hard work starts now!

by isleofman.com 15th December 2011

The real work for the committee tasked with sorting out the Isle of Man's electoral boundaries starts now.

That's according to the Chief Minister who took the interim report to Tynwald on Tuesday.

In an unusual approach - members were asked to approve five broad principles before the committee starts on the detailed process of equalising representation across the Island.

Allan Bell expects the debate, hopefully in a year's time, to be lively but he believes politicians are mature enough to vote for change.

And he says that goes for him regarding his own constituency of Ramsey as well.
