China's secret astronauts: a Douglas man reveals all

A Douglas man’s been lauded by space experts around the world after he tracked down the identities of China’s secret astronauts.

The names have never been released by the country, which is notoriously secretive about the names of its military spaceflight teams.

But Tony Quine says after seeing seven autographs, he quickly realised they belonged to the so-called taikonauts – and with help from friends on the internet around the world, had all of them checked and translated.

He told Manx Radio the online trail started with the simplest of items.
