IN September the Isle of Man went to the polls for a General Election, the third Food and Drink Festival took place and a rare shark was spotted in Manx waters.

The Island played host to the Commonwealth Youth Games, was represented at the Monaco Yacht Show and Mark Cavendish became a world champion.
