Sailings affected as Ben-my-Chree fails to return to Island on time

TODAY'S sailings to and from the Isle of Man have been disrupted after the Ben-my-Chree failed to return to the Island early this morning.

 

The 2.15am service to Douglas did not leave Heysham until 8am and will not dock until 11.30pm.

 

As a result the 8.45am sailing is now estimated to depart at 2pm arriving in Heysham at 5.30pm.

 

All passengers booked onto the delayed Ben-my-Chree service have been transferred onto the 8.45am Manannan sailing.

 

The 2.15pm sailing from Heysham to Douglas on the Ben-my-Chree is now expected to depart at 8pm, arriving in Douglas at 11.30pm.

 

All passengers due to travel on this service have again been transferred onto the Manannan.

 

The Douglas to Heysham sailing at 7.45pm is now expected to depart at 2am tomorrow (Friday) but a further announcement will be made at 5pm.

 

The Steam Packet Company has said all delays are due to adverse weather conditions.
